I CAN use my whole body to shape letters in the water with others.
I KNOW how to recognize and form letters using body movements and team coordination.
I REACT to my teammates' positions and adjust to make the letter complete.
I FEEL joy and connection when working together in a group.
- The group is able to form recognizable letters using body positions
- Children cooperate and communicate to complete the shapes
- Participants show engagement and creativity in the task
- Pool (shallow or deep depending on skill level)
- No specific equipment required
- Small groups of 3–5 children
- One group at a time can demonstrate, or all groups can participate simultaneously
- 10–15 minutes
- Suitable as a playful main activity or as a transition between technical drills
- Basic comfort in the water and body movement coordination
Children are divided into small groups and given the task of forming letters using their bodies. They can do this:
- While floating on the surface
- Lying or sitting on the pool bottom (if shallow)
- Using imaginative poses or synchronized movements
**Hints/suggestions: **
- Start with simple letters (e.g., T, I, H)
- Use waterproof letter cards as inspiration
- Allow time for groups to discuss and plan
- Highlight creativity and teamwork rather than perfection
You can vary the game by assigning letters, timing the groups, or encouraging them to spell out words together
